It has always been my dream to visit Egypt and the pyramids, and my trip to Cairo with Kay and Farida Adventures fulfilled and surpassed all my expectations. It was one of the best weeks of my life, full of new experiences and energy and positivity. Kay facilitated the entire week, making sure we all felt safe and looked after whilst also giving us some independence and local experiences that the average tourist might not think to do! The week was pretty full on and full of the major tourist and cultural experiences , and also lots of opportunities to see some of the best dancers out there. Kay is a great guide and made it all really easy and fun. Also amazingly good value for everything that we got to do and experience. Can’t recommend highly enough, would go again in a minute.  October 2019

A holiday of a lifetime. Well organised, from the point of landing to taking off, Hotel was charming and it was a pleasure to stay in Downtown Cairo. We were spoilt with Kay and our occasional tour guide, Nibal on hand – the excursions were great, and what a treat to see the best dancers in Cairo – it was especially good to get some time at a dance festival and take a workshop with Aida Nour. Seeing the costumiers in action was fantastic and it was costume heaven. I cant wait to go back

Kay Taylor is an EXCELLENT guide – she’s relaxed but very knowledgeable, and is happy to advise on what to see and do, or organise outings, or let people do their own thing. She introduced us to ‘real’ Cairo – staying in a family run hotel, out of the tourist trap areas, and took us to cafes and restaurants where Egyptians eat (rather than westernised places for tourists). – Cairo October 2019

It would not be possible to cram so much into a week without Kay’s amazing organisational abilities and network of local contacts. We were shown to eating and drinking spots we’d never have found on our own and Nibal (Kay’s Egyptian guide) made our trip to the Pyramids educational, entertaining and hassle-free. We had the opportunity to watch some inspirational local dancers and to attend the belly dance festival at Camp Negum and learn from Kay and other pros. Meeting the locals was just as much fun and we had plenty of opportunity in the ‘Ladies Only’ carriage of the Cairo metro, our hotel and the local cafes. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Had an absolute blast on this trip with fellow belly dance students. Still gives me a warm fuzzy feeling – wish we were all there again right now! It was very well organised and we were able to experience the dance, food, culture and soak up the personality of Cairo. Lots of dance and costume content.

The hotel was good value and I enjoyed not being somewhere spanking modern but that had character and a lot of charm. It was spotlessly clean, did an excellent breakfast and the staff were wonderful.

Not everyone had been to Egypt or even away like this before but Kay helped all embrace the spirit of Egypt and its wonderful people and attractions. She is an exceptional host and guide and ensured we had a splendid time. Would go again in a heartbeat.
